Niamh Murdock is the co-founder and CEO of the Avoca Clinic, a pioneering cosmetic surgery outfit with three locations in Wicklow, Limerick, and Dundalk. Founded in 2012 by the dynamic mother-daughter duo of Niamh Murdock and Ailish Kelly, the Avoca Clinic has solidified its presence in the cosmetic surgery industry. Recently, the Avoca Clinic secured a substantial equity investment of €7 million from the renowned equity investor firm, BGF. This strategic partnership with BGF has resulted in BGF taking a significant minority position within the business, in line with their SME remit. Lauren Sharpe of BGF has joined the company’s board, bringing a wealth of expertise, while Noel Daly, former non-executive director of Kingsbridge and chairman of Saolta Hospital Group, has assumed the role of non-executive chairman. Niamh’s extensive experience in the cosmetics surgery market and her profound understanding of the client base have been pivotal in establishing Avoca’s strong brand identity. At present, the Avoca Clinic employs a dedicated team of over 40 professionals, including a group of highly skilled plastic surgeons. The clinic specializes in both surgical and non-surgical treatments, with a comprehensive range of in-patient and out-patient options.
